Michael Young is a 35 year FedEx employee, the Managing Director of Quality Assurance and the FAA designated Chief Inspector for FedEx Express. He was appointed this position 2019, and leads a team of approximately 150 Quality Assurance and Quality Control professionals. He is tasked with implementation and enforcement of quality assurance programs for the Air Operation Division that entails regulatory compliance, safety and airworthiness of the FedEx Express air fleet which includes over 400 large transport aircraft.
Mike has an MBA in Management and Leadership, a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and Post Graduate Degree in Corporate Finance from Dowling College of New York. He holds an Airframe, Powerplant (A&P) and FCC License and resides in the Memphis tri-state area with his wife and two kids.
