Scott Miller is a seasoned aviation professional with 33 years of progressively responsible experience in the aviation industry. He possesses extensive expertise in non-destructive testing, safety and quality, aviation regulations, airworthiness standards, Safety Management System (SMS) assessments, audits, quality control, and airline operations.
Since 2012, Scott has served as the Chief Inspector at Alaska Airlines, where he oversees the Inspection and Non-Destructive Testing Program, Regulatory Compliance, Aircraft Records, and Quality Assurance. Prior to this role, he was the Inspection/NDT Supervisor for Ozark Aircraft Systems and an NDT Inspector for AAR Oklahoma and Lockheed Martin.
Scott’s aviation career also includes eight years as an NDT Inspection Specialist in the United States Air Force Reserve and the Washington and Connecticut Air National Guard. He is an FAA-licensed airframe and powerplant mechanic and holds NDT Level III certification in Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Ultrasonic Inspection.
