Kate Summers

Material, Process, and Physics Engineer Boeing Research & Technology Nondestructive Evaluation

Kate Summers graduated with a masters’ degree in Engineering Mechanics from The Pennsylvania State University in May 2010. Kate has been developing nondestructive evaluation equipment and systems for Boeing for 14 years.

In early 2018, Summers became the Lead of the In-Service Nondestructive Inspection Group.   In this role, Summers leads nondestructive inspection specification and procedure development for the Boeing planes in the field.  She currently holds an ultrasonic level III credential from the American Society of Nondestructive Testing.
