Jasper Marek

Engineering Manager, TRI-Austin

Jasper Marek is an engineer with more than 10 years of research and industry experience in the mechanical, structural, and aerospace fields, with a focus on composite materials and non-destructive testing and evaluation.

He is currently employed at Texas Research Institute-Austin, where he leads and manages multiple research and development projects in the aerospace and defense field, as well as a team of engineers across multiple disciplines.

He was previously employed in the Rotary and Mission Systems department at Lockheed Martin, where he was instrumental in planning, implementing, testing, and delivering multiple large-scale projects both internally and externally with international clients. Each project required creative problem-solving to address a variety of rotary aircraft transmission components while interfacing with multiple levels of management and cross-disciplinary engineering groups to ensure accurate delivery of targeted results within scope and timeline.

Previously, he worked in research labs at the University of Washington, the University of Michigan, and Wayne State University, where he developed test strategies to gather targeted results and deliver groundbreaking insights in support of 3D-printed structures, carbon and glass fiber composites, and robotics.
