Gregory Monks graduated from Purdue University with honors in 1978 with a BS degree in industrial management. He worked for Republic Steel in Chicago from 1973 through 1978. At Republic Steel, Greg worked in the finishing, inspection and shipping department and in production control. In January 1979 Greg joined Magnaflux Corporation as a field engineer – area manager. He worked at Magnaflux until January 1987. In January of 1987, he started QC Technologies, Inc. and remains there today. He is certified as a NAS-410 Level III in the magnetic particle and liquid penetrant methods. He became an ASNT Fellow in 1994. Greg managed the NDT program for CART (Championship Auto Racing Teams) from 1984 until 2007. Greg was also a founding partner of American Testing Services, Miamisburg, OH, 2002-2004. In 2017-2024 he contracted as international sales manager for Shanghai CHiNDT. He was responsible for sales worldwide outside of China. CHiNDT is a manufacturer of custom MPI, FPI, etching systems and UV inspection lights. In November 2024 Greg and QC Technologies, Inc. became the North American manufacturer’s representative for CGM – Cigiemme SpA located in Milan, Italy. CGM is a leader in offering custom MPI and FPI systems worldwide.
